South Texas Babe Ruth League in Cotulla

The Girls won the 2010 Babe Ruth Softball Regional Championship for the Southwest Region and went to the World Series in Varina, Virginia where they competed in four games. We are very proud of them, and happy that The Bell Family Foundation was able to contribute toward their trip expenses.

Dear Mr. Bell,

My teammates and I would like to thank you for the generous donation that you presented to us. Words cannot express how your gift made our team feel. You are truly an angel and may God bless you, your family and foundation. It's people like you that make the make the world a better place and change the lives of children all over the world.
Our trip to Arkansas was a huge success. Our first game was against Magnolia, Arkansas. We won 17 to 0. Our second game was against Kentwood, Louisiana. I pitched the game and gave up three runs with two hits and we won 8 to 3. On the same day we played Terrobone, Louisiana. After a slow start and a few errors our team showed heart as we came together and pulled out a victory of 8 to 4, which put us in the championship game.
Sunday we played the Monticello, Arkansas Rippers for the championship. I am happy to inform you that our team played exceptionally well as we won the game 3 to 0.
We will be participating in the Babe Ruth World Series in Varina, Virginia. We will be departing on the 4th of August, and with your prayers we will be playing in the championship game on August the 12th.
